HELP US RAISE £1 MILLION FOR PEOPLE AND THE PLANET

“Project Salt Run was born from a chain of moments that felt too aligned to dismiss. It became clear this was the challenge I was meant to take on. Joining forces with 1% for the Planet to raise £1 million is more than fundraising; it’s about creating a legacy of businesses and individuals stepping up for the future of our planet. And that when people come together, hope can turn into real impact.”

Hannah Cox, founder of the Better Business Network and Project Salt Run

Project Salt Run is not a charity, we are part of a Collective Campaign project started by the Better Business Network and our Members. Why don’t you join us?

1% for the Planet

The global network where thousands of incredible businesses and environmental organisations work together to support people and the planet through pledging 1% of their revenue to causes and charities that work to protect the place we call home and the people who live here.

"We’re thrilled to partner with Project Salt Run. As a marathon runner myself, I understand how small steps are the only path to attaining big goals, and I bring this understanding to everything I do. At 1% for the Planet, our global business community drives positive change informed by our belief that simple, repeated actions are how we create real impact at scale.

Just like Project Salt Run, where Hannah will be taking meaningful steps each day, our businesses and environmental partners are making strides every day. We’re excited to see how this partnership will inspire others to get involved and make a difference!”

Frank Water

Access to water is a basic human need and right. Yet 2.2 billion people still lack access to safe drinking water, and 2.4 billion live in water-stressed countries. Frank Water is working to change this now before it’s too late, with a vision of a global water system in which everyone, everywhere, has enough safe water to stay healthy, sustain their livelihoods and unlock their potential.

“Frank Water is a small but mighty global water charity, with the majority of our sustainable water projects working directly with remote communities in India.  Like Hannah and the Project Salt Run, we aim to tackle global water and environmental issues. From rejuvenating springs in the Himalayas to corporate water stewardship, we combine community knowledge with technical data. We focus on solving complex water problems, working collaboratively with partners to create long-term sustainable change. We’re very excited for Hannah and the Project Salt Run team to get started on this monumental challenge, raising awareness of the importance of an equitable and sustainable future for all, while raising vital funds to make the work happen. We wish Hannah and the team enormous luck with this huge endeavour of 100 marathons in 100 days!”

Big Change

Big Change invests in people challenging the status quo and leading change for young people, backing their early-stage ideas with high impact potential. They find and back changemakers with early-stage ideas that have the potential to spark lasting change for all young people, providing opportunities for them to connect, learn and act together as part of a purpose-driven community-  rethinking and reshaping the systems around young people.

"We’re absolutely thrilled to be a charity partner for Project Salt Run, alongside such an inspiring group of charities. Challenges like this are a part of Big Change’s DNA - from our founders running the London Marathon tied together as a giant caterpillar, to our Strive community completing endurance challenges. We can’t wait to support Hannah on her journey, and create lasting change for young people together."

Client Earth

ClientEarth is a non-profit organisation that uses the law to create systemic change that protects the Earth for – and with – its inhabitants. We are tackling climate change, protecting nature and stopping pollution, with partners and citizens around the globe. We hold industry and governments to account, and defend everyone’s right to a healthy world. From our offices in Europe, Asia and the USA we shape, implement and enforce the law, to build a future for our planet in which people and nature can thrive together.

“When Hannah first spoke to us about Project Salt Run, we were blown away by the scale of the challenge and incredibly honoured to be considered as a charitable partner. It quickly became apparent that there is a great synergy between our work at ClientEarth and the issues Hannah is raising through the project- tackling injustice, protecting our natural world, and inspiring everyone to come together to create a better planet. We wish her all the best and will be cheering her on all the way!”
